About updating the content
The front page lives in a page called "Home", so you edit it from Pages in the WordPress admin, just like any other page. Works are written as posts and appear automatically, newest first, in the works list and in the new works section on the front page. Events, Where to buy, About and the other pages do not change on their own; edit each page when something changes.
About this product
Genva Craft is a block theme for independent jewelry and handmade makers who work on their own.
Your photographs come first, and every place where your work can be found — online shops, stockists, events and orders — sits together in one place.
■ One page that answers "Where can I buy this?"
A maker's work is often sold in several places at once: minne or BASE, a shop that stocks it, a market stall. The theme gathers where to buy and how to get in touch in one place, so visitors never have to search for it.
- Photographs lead
The front page opens with a full-width photograph. Text and decoration are kept quiet.
- Where to buy, in one section
The "Where to buy" section lays out online shops, stockists and orders in three columns.
- Two buttons for every work
Each work can have a shop button and an enquiry button, such as "Buy on minne" and "Ask about this piece". You can use just one of them.
- Upcoming events
Event dates are shown large. Past events can be greyed out with a line through the date.
■ Two front pages
Choose a starter when you create a page (Pages > Add New), and the whole front page is placed into the content. Every section is made of ordinary blocks, so you can reorder or remove them freely.
A Made and sold — for makers who sell finished pieces online and at events
Hero / New works / Where to buy / Events / The maker / Classes
B Made to order — for makers who make each piece to order
Hero / Order status / Past works / How an order works / Remakes and repairs / The workshop / Order enquiries
■ Your works line up as you post them
- Works are written as posts. Choose the "Work" pattern for a new post, and you get a starter with four photographs, a details table (material, size and more), a description and buttons
- You can set a price for each work. Leave it empty and the whole price row is hidden
- Tags such as "Sold" or "Made to order" appear as small labels on the cards in the list
- Tap a small photograph on a work's page to swap it with the large one. Tap the large photograph to view it full screen
- The works list can be laid out as a masonry grid or as a bento grid of large and small tiles
- The "New works" and "Past works" sections on the front page show your six newest works automatically
■ What's included
- Two front page starters
- Five page starters (Where to buy / Events / About / Orders / Contact)
- A starter for work pages
- 13 sections you can add on their own
- Shop links in one place (Appearance > Shop Links). Enter your Instagram, X, Facebook, LINE, minne, BASE and Creema addresses, and icons appear in the footer. Empty fields are not shown
- Three colour styles (Default, Noir and Bordeaux), each with its own dark colours
- A dark mode toggle. In the dark scheme, buttons, labels and lines turn gold
- Bundled fonts: Shippori Mincho for headings and Cormorant Garamond for Latin text. The theme does not connect to any external font service
- Japanese translation included
- Theme updates from the WordPress admin
■ Before you buy
- Photographs are not included. Three placeholder images (SVG) are provided for you to replace with photographs of your own work. The photographs on the demo site are AI-generated images and free stock photos
- There is no online store feature. Payments and stock are left to shops such as minne, BASE and Creema; the "Buy" button takes visitors to the work's page in that shop
- No contact form is included. The Contact page has a space for you to place a block from a form plugin
- Visitors choose dark mode with the button in the header. It does not follow the computer or phone settings
